What to expect
A good work café is about more than the coffee. We only list cafés where a laptop is welcome, the Wi-Fi holds up for a video call and you can find an outlet without moving furniture. Many set a laptop policy, such as no laptops at lunch or on weekends, and we note it on every page.
The unwritten rule is simple: order something every couple of hours, share your table when it gets busy and take long calls outside. Mornings are calmest, and most cafés close earlier than you think, often around 18:00.
