Our take
Saltbox fills a former furniture warehouse on Mare Street, with long tables, skylights and a kitchen at the back. There is space for everyone, which is rare in London.
The Wi-Fi tested at 130 Mbps, with outlets along every table. It stays open until 22:00, with a short evening menu. Weekends bring brunch, but the mezzanine usually has a free table.
