Our take
This members’ library opened its reading room to the public a few years ago, and it is still mostly a secret: oak tables, green lamps and tall shelves, five minutes from the British Museum.
Sign in at the desk and take any seat. Most have power. The Wi-Fi tested at 70 Mbps, enough for documents and email. Silence is strict, and the staff will remind you.
